Tonya Nelson: 40 Years of Guiding First-Time Homebuyers

Hello, I'm Tonya, and I have 40 years of experience in the mortgage industry. I started my career as a receptionist at a mortgage company and soon found my passion for helping people achieve homeownership. Based in Kirkland, WA, I focus on supporting first-time homebuyers, working closely with them to navigate the lending process with confidence. My approach is low-pressure, and I'm dedicated to educating my clients to ensure they feel empowered every step of the way.

One of my most memorable experiences was helping a client secure a home with disability access so she could care for her father during his final stages. Moments like these remind me of the impact we can make in people's lives. While my primary focus is on home purchases, I occasionally handle refinances, especially when it can alleviate financial stress for clients facing unique life circumstances.

Outside of work, I love spending time with my husband and family, especially my grandchildren. I also enjoy traveling and spending time at our second home in Eastern Washington.
